Street Libraries – do you have one in your hood?

Street libraries have been in the news and on facebook.

These cute little libraries are just on the side of the road.  They come in different shapes and sizes, are waterproof and have a see through door.    My attention was drawn to them by a reader of this blog.  Thank you!

Carlisle Street Library – my local street library

I went to the link that was sent to me and I scrolled through but my local street library wasn’t there.

I need to acknowledge this library.  It has been in this spot on the corner of Balston and Carlisle Streets for some time, now.  It always has an interesting collection of books and they do rotate and change.  So it appears to be thriving.

I would like to thank the person who started if off.  Such a good idea and such a warm friendly thing to do for our community.
