The head office of a company I worked for was in Park Street, South Melbourne, across the road from Chimmys.
Chimmys was the place to grab a coffee before racing to a meeting or a training course. The Head Office moved and I forgot about Chimmys until recently when I was in Park Street and wanted [...]

Carlisle Street in East St Kilda was the Melbourne Place I got to know well when I first came to Melbourne. It was here I became familiar with Russian and Eastern European food for the first time.
The St Kilda Library in Carlisle Street has a large selection of Polish and Russian books in their foreign [...]

Want an ice cream or a cake fix?
The Gelobar at 47 Lygon Street, East Brunswick is the place to start. It is also the place to end – a visit there and you won’t need to try anywhere else.
You’ll leave there with a grin on your face. And if you are someone who lets [...]
